When automating a sliding gate installed on a slope, it is essential to consider the forces at play that may affect the proper functioning of the system. In these situations, the movement of the gate is never neutral: gravity tends to push the gate downhill, generating noise, wear, and, in some cases, uncontrolled movements. The operating principle is simple yet effective: the brake provides resistance in only one direction of rotation, thereby limiting and controlling the gate’s downhill speed, keeping it constant both with the automation running and in case of motor release.
